Writers Are the Narrators of History
Writers Are the Narrators of History
The Erwin Collection was gifted in 2021 by Mr. and Mrs. Erwin, founding supporters of the Black Writers Museum. Gifting over 1,500 books of African and African American history, fiction, and non-fiction, this collection is a comprehensive compilation of global and local literature expanding from Egypt and throughout the African diaspora. Utilized by students and scholars for research purposes, this collection is a treasure trove of history, struggle, scholarly research, and cultural identity.
The Erwin Collection is housed in the BWM archives and is available by appointment.
